As far as I’m concerned, right now is one of the most exciting times in the history of Crossroads Community Church. Certainly God has led us into many incredible seasons across the years, but none of them has been more electrifying than the time in which we find ourselves at this moment. Like many of you, I can feel it in the air norsk-apotek.com/! With that in mind, I have just one question: have you involved yourself in the great things He is doing?
In our nxtSTP ministry, we’ve found a number of folks engaging in things they’ve never done before, at least not officially. For example, we already have several dozen people signed up to mentor, whether it’s older guys willing to mentor younger guys, or older women desiring to mentor younger women, or couples who have more than a few candles on their cake willing to come alongside a younger couple needing help in their marriage. As those relationships grow, everybody wins. God is glorified, and people are blessed. Not bad!
When February rolls around, we’ve got a variety of new opportunities for growth coming online. The School of Ministry is going to allow people to grow in their understanding of how to understand and apply the Bible, how to present, discuss, and defend their faith to others, and what sharing Jesus looks like in today’s culture. Who couldn’t use some help in those areas?
On Thursday evenings, Pastor Daniel Fusco is going to embark on a fresh trip teaching through the whole Bible, beginning at the beginning with the book of Genesis. Want another opportunity to worship with God’s people, and grow in your knowledge of Him and His life? Plan to be a part of the new Thursday evening service. Our ministry of prayer is also moving in fresh, new ways. It may be that you’ve always wanted to grow in that area in your life, but couldn’t figure out how. Well, jump into the Prayer Ministry! People who had never tried them before are finding strength and encouragement in small groups. On it goes with the opportunities for growth that either already exist, or are starting anew.
Whether it’s taking part in an outreach on Second Saturday, or choosing to get involved ministering in a hospital or home with a Care Team, there is a spot that fits you like a glove. But in order for it to make a difference, you’ve got to jump in with both feet. And there will never be a better, more exhilarating time to do that than right now.
It’s always that way with the Lord. Either we’re in, or we’re not. There’s no in-between. Frankly, I can’t imagine missing out on any of the great things God is doing right now in our church. It would be awful to look back and say, “Wow, I wish I had been a part of that great move of the Lord. What was I thinking?”
Now is the time. Not tomorrow or the next day, but now. Like the Apostle Paul says, “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep.” It’s time to get up, and get in to the fantastic things God is leading us into. Don’t miss even one little bit!
